Always remember a guy where I lived when I was in my teens always had the latest/greatest GT and one of these when they were first released. It cost as much as a decent 2nd hand car at the time! He only ever rode it to/from work on the road which always something of a mystery to me. We would all be up in the woods “downhilling” on what we could cobble together (read anything as long as it had at least one working brake and 2 wheels) while this amazing downhill machine never left the tarmac!
 
It is super cheap, assuming the thermoplastic is still bonded to the alloy. For £100 it’s worth that bet for someone local. You could probably recover most of that selling as “wall art”, if it’s not rideable.
 
It offered 90 the countered 95 I asked the size was told there son is 6ft

and it’s abt 5 mile from me but it’s in GT’s back end of an era for me 90-96 was there peak
