GT Question

I've just bought an lts 5000 from Pickle
I was wondering what the total rear travel on it was?
the rear shock is an RS deluxe
I was intending to put an RS judy tt['02?]with about 100mm travel on it,might be 80mm if you deduct the sag :?
I have it in my mind its 3 1/2" on the lts

Who knows?

I dont really want to have to buy another sus fork as the one i have[the tt] is on the torus and it will mess up my plan to replace it with an rc30,i cant afford both a pace fork and a shorter travel sus fork

Personally i would have thought a 4" fork on the front and 3 1/2" on the back was an ok match,but im new to soft-tails

One thing about the pivots i dont understand :? is on the lower pivot the middles are removable and only appear to have o-rings to hold them in place
Is there not meant to be a nut and bolt to hold it in more securely ?

Can't tell you the travel but maybe bikepedia? IMO the 100mm up front will be fine.

remove the spring from the damper and the rear end can then move freely in its travel , measure the axle point at either end of the stroke of the shock

Any ideas on the pivot bushing thingy,is there a nut bolt fitting to stop it coming out while on the trai
I can see threads about the middle but as to what screws in there im lost l :?

there are two pinch bolts on the back of the down tube above the bb , these hold the pivot in place, the bushes press into the chain stays from the inside, the flanges on the bushes then hold them in place the pivot pin is then pushed home in the bushes and held in place by the two pinch bolts

If i couldnt get the info about that i was going to put some zippy's around it to keep it in :shock:
