GT Pantera AL - period stem suggestions

Yeah, a Kore will be a nicer stem. One of the old original black painted ones would be the go.

I have had a couple of the GT cro mo stems over the years. Fabrication quality is not all that high, and they tend to rust and tinworm as the years go by.

The clamping mechanism works, but again, the simplicity of the alloy kore pinch clamp is much better.

Thanks Merckz....would the Kore Aheadlite3 still fit the bill ?

they came with aheadset didn't they ?
the GT oe ones were made by tioga i think
but syncros ,control tech, ringle ,profile ,would look fine
i think kore were a bit later 95/6 iirc

Mikee is right about the era. I was thinking earlier than a version 3, more like this, which from my memory is the first generation kore....6.95 closeout price...that is hard to beat :D

Thanks again guys....I do believe I've just seen exactly what I need :D

Should be a Flip Flop two quill stem that works with a standard threaded 1-1/8" headset.

Thanks for the definitive info GM....
...I now realise I'm going to have to have a total rethink  ....and get a different headset  ....and find some new forks...

...luckily I actually enjoy learning all of this even if my bank account doesn't :)

92 Pantera....know exactly where your at. Have had one two years and unfortunately done nothing with it. Wanted to go with original Suntour spec but wow to find and pricey too.
