GT LTS rear shock

Hi!
I've seen a beautiful GT LTS, and Iwant to buy it, but its rear sock is totally broken.
I don't know anythig about MTB (I've got 2 road bikes, but 0 MTB), and I don't really know which kind of rear shock I need, if I could buy one that fit on that frame.
Any help???

Thanks!!!

Depends on the model. There are a few links where the shock is mounted to, the 2 most common are a banana-type link: titanium bend link on top of the rear fame and a straight link with at the end a little knick down. That one needs a Rock Shox Super Deluxe or a DeLuxe.
The banana type a Fox shock.

Is this frame...
which rear shock should I buy???
and...how much is it (more or less)??

That is the banana type. <96
Only hard to find a shock for that one. I don't know by head the size (eye - eye) of the shock. Have to look that up. But the Fox Alps (If I remember) or a Strada shock fits in.

No, neither of those will fit. That LTS is a 1995/6 model and needs a specific shock. Whereabouts are you?

Deveron is right, those shocks are the later Trunion mount (the alloy collar screwed onto the shock body), your shock will be bolt mount.

You'll find the Fox Alps on the LTS will have a very short (by modern standards) eye to eye measurement, something like 110 - 120mm, i have the same shock on the rear of my Stumpjumper FSR, as far as i know they cant be rebuilt.

Risse racing may be able to supply a new shock for the LTS or if you are really keen you could buy the later rear linkage from BETD and change the bike to later spec with an easier to find Super Delux.
