GT Karakoram 199?

Would anyone know what year and colour this GT Karakoram is. . It’s for sale and is about a mile from me so I popped in to see it today in the flesh. Looks ok but its in much need of a full service and new cables and crank . I think it will suit my lad next year so we can roll out on some retro equipment together.

Looks like a 99’ to me, does it come with a flake? ;-)
