GT but not sure which

Hi folks
I have just become the proud owner of a neglected GT as a refurbish project but not sure what I have. All original transfers have been removed and replaced with rubbish which doesn't help.

It has Manitou M Sport forks, Ritchey Vantage Sport wheels, Shimano V-Pull and Deore LX Groupset
Looking at previous threads it's possibly a Pantera or Zaskar (or anything else for that matter) but ID marks don't match up - particularly the frame number.

It has no alloy grade markings at all (7005 or 6061) but it does have the flat end cap at the end of the top tube etc

Frame number is H1L01604 and is the only stamped marking.

Any help appreciated so I can return to somewhat original spec

Need a photo !
I'm assuming this is aly and not steel so possibly a Pantera.

Have a look at the catalogues in the Archive & gallery section.

Re:

Hi
Thanks for the feedback guys
Definitely ally and not steel
Tried to upload pic but could not reduce file size sufficiently then had to dash off
Will try again in a sec.
Will also look at catalogues as suggested
Thanks again

Re:

Hi folks,

See attached images (Hopefully),

For info, all cable clamps seem to be either screwed or riveted to the frame. (See pic of clamp on downtube).

Brilliant, thanks for the info Retro Guru
Just need to get the original year and spec now, then source some original parts.

Can I just ask what the identifying features are please as they look the same to me ha-ha.
Spot the newbie.

It has to be a 1992 Pantera, because it has a U-Brake at the rear. Later models used cantis. I think, Panteras were not available in 1991.

Originally, the frame was painted red or Grey/silver. One of the previous owners must have removed the paint. Panteras were never ball-burnished (like the Zaskar).

Original build was a mostly Exage LX 500 and a Deore LX rear mech. Stem was a Flip-Flop II.
Not many Details in the catalogue:

Must be my dodgy eyesight ! I thought I'd seen several BB frames but perhaps they were all silver grey.
The 92 catalogue on here is the German one so if anyone has a US it might be in there but I have seen loads of
GTs that were never included in the catalogue.

As above the fact it's alloy, has a flat cap but not a Zaskar serial no. says Pantera. U-Brake makes it 92 or earlier.
They are pretty rare (must be less on here than Zaskars, not sure if they didn't sell well-maybe people paid a bit extra and bought a Zaskar).
Having said that any GT of this vintage will be bullet-proof and a great ride. So enjoy !
