Gt Avalanche....How old??

Any GT experts out there in Retrobike land tell me how old an Avalanche frame is from this frame number? S8H22907 Cheers guys. :?Here's a pic.

stamped 7005 or 6061 on the inside of the rear dropouts? Appears to be a 98 by the serial number so I'm guessing it's 7005. They had both an Avalanche and an Avalanche LE in 1998. Are you sure it's an Avalanche frame?

Frame is stamped 7005 and I'm pretty sure it's an Avalanche.

It doesn't look like the avalanche I had, but mine was a 1996.

guess it's close enough.
