GT All Terra Timberline ID help needed - 80s

Hi all,

I'm trying to determine the year and correct parts for my 17" GT Timberline project bike. I'm especially interested in knowing what 6-spd uniglide cassette and rear hub came stock with this one. Any help would be appreciated!

Info I've been able to gather:

According to the 1988 Bicycling Magazine Buyers' Guide, GT came out with All Terra bikes in 1986, then took 2 years off to "get it right" so to speak.

Crackle black was offered in 1988 on the Karakoram with Deore MT-60 components. Exage Trail predates the Deore MT-60. I don't think the Timberline 1988 was offered in crackle black, but could be mistaken.

Could this be a 1986 GT Timberline? Exage Trail dates to 85-86.

It a 1989 model. It appears to be in very nice condition! Also....There was no two year break in GT atb production....it was 1985 to current. See 89 catalog picture below!

I have GT 1988 literature - not company but from the 1988 bicycling buyers' guide that reviews the 1988 Karakoram crackle black, which is another project bike I have awaiting me. (Has full componentry specs). I'll try posting that shortly.
