GT 'All Terra' - seller after Zaskar money

He's not saying Zaskar but for that money he obviously thinks
it is.

Looks flat cap, XT, not sure about colour tho.

I'd want better pics and a definite 6061 stamp before parting with that sort of money.

You can clearly see the 0293 serial number in the one picture. Has to be a Zaskar from 93. I wonder if it's the original black ano color or if it has been repainted. The black ano was a bad color for fading.

Well spotted, I was busy looking at end cap.

I just wondered why he didn't advertise as a Zaskar since for that

Because usually when people call an old GT this:

All GT Terra

It often means they don't know what they've got.

Not everyone is a bike geek like we are.

I know that but the 'GT All Terra' I bought started at 99p cos they
didn't know what is was. At £195 he obviously doesn't think it's
anything other than a Zaskar or he'd be saying 'old GT start £20'

I don't think it's 'obvious' that he/she is aware that it's a Zaskar, maybe they feel it's a quality bike and therefore that's what they'd be happy to part with it for. eBay is a funny old place sometimes.

im new to this site and a complete bike in novice.

is this bike not worth the money at £195? I have seen an identical bike listed elsewhere for £150 is it a good price or could i get a better/newer bike elsewhere.

im obviously not a serious mountain biker, i only need it to maybe cycle off road with my girlfriend just on footpaths over the south downs.

I just dont want to end up with a load of rubbish.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if the seller has been checking on here but he changed the title
from GT All Terra to Zaskar part way through.

Superdec : bike was probably worth the money, something like this would be excellent as it would have been about £2k-3k new and they last well.

I was merely commenting on the high initial price. If it were me I'd have
maybe listed lower but put a reserve on it. As it is he got no takers.
