Not a bad idea. It may have a high reserve. I bid $300 a few hours ago and didn't even pop it.

Have those same cranks already (same color and size, too) but would love to get my hands on the fork and bars.

Count me in...but I just want the fork...though the crankset wouldn't be bad either

Big big guns needed or this beaut boys......I'm glad it was an X and not a Hardcore as my self imposed bike ban might have gotten stomped

Splitting this would be sacrilege :!:

you and I both!

I'd actually prefer a black one to the orange one, given my druthers. Maybe we can make this even more complicated? ;)

Anyone here?? 1100 is pretty high for a Grove, but certainly worth it imho. I got outbid in the last minute

I was going to say £636 was quite a good price for an X I thought...guess the bars and forks pushed it a little.

I just purchased an X on Craigslist with full XTR for a little over a third the price of this one, but it doesn't have the Grove cranks or the rigid fork (curiously, it has a matching Scott unishock--yikes!). It has a Grove stem, but not the bar/stem combo.

Fortunately my Hotrod cranks are a perfect match, which is pretty remarkable considering how crazy they were with their paint schemes.

I'll post some pics when it arrives.

I agree, though I'm sure it would've only gone for a third of that if it wasn't for the hardcore crankset/fork/hammerhead- that made it go this high.

Ha, I was just saying that. Without the parts mentioned above it's only worth a third, but the xtr (m900 or later?) is always nice, so great buy. Looking forward to the pics.

M900 (with a Flite saddle, too!).

I asked the owner if it came with the bar/stem combo and she said it didn't, but I'm not sure if she knew what I was referring to. Judging by the photos of the bike the stem is clearly a Grove, but it's hard to make out if the bars are attached (looks like they are). The bike was listed as "aluminum" and possibly a 2000 year model, so I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
