hmmm would purple work on that colour?

i reckon so. One of the german chaps had one built with purple ano which looked well. Some of the grello frames from certain years had a purple fade to the stays to.

Personally I like it how it is....black and silver parts for me, perhaps a few ti bolts here and there for added cool 8)

I'm going for the understated "let the frame do the talking/retina burning" look.

There has due to being "sick and bad and under the Dr" been absolutely naff all progress on this in the last week. (bar scourcing a 1" star nut....)

I'm on the lookout for a silver zooka and some other silver ringle niceness - Why is it Fats's look good with Ringle? The rest should be M730/5 Xt. (what was on it supplemented with bit's piked from the stagnated Stumjumper rebuild)

Sadly the Toplines i felt were just too close to the chainstays (purchased believing it was a 94 and had a std type BB)

That should be M730 /735 XT - period correct. Though i was tempted by some xtr (easily sorted by not ahving any sapre)

Though you will probably say heresy for the Judy Sl's that will be going on it. Alas progress is plodding ATM due to the "never ending lhurgi" though i have ordered some Onza canti's for it.

Progress has been a tad slow, so i decided to just get on with it ;)

New saddle, seat post bars and cassette all fitted. I did have some NOS ONza HO's but prefer the look of the original Black XT cantis so they never even made it out of the box.

An evening earlier this week and everything was done bar the front brake as the Judy's had no brake bosses - so i piked the bosses off the FSR while i carry on looking for another set. i still need to get the stem stripped back to silver (going or the simple black and silver componentry look)

Even in the pretty crap overcast the Grellow gives my camera phone a hard time!

Ride wise - lovely! trotting out superlatives would seem trite and obvious. It love's fast rolling singletrack and hard fast climbing has never seemed easier to me!
