......diagnosed with chronic high blood pressure, well thank you SO much CPS! 147/94 joy of joys, but that explains the daily tension headaches and the pains in my chest/arms all of the time. So off for a blood test tomorrow and then back to the doc's for another check up next week.

MEH!!!!!!!

Whenever I have had my blood pressure taken they always have said 'it's a bit high' but put it down to other facters. Like climbing 10 flights of stairs at the hospital because the lifts had broken down on my way to the appointment. The last 7 weeks I have been off work due to a stress related illness and the doc routinely took my BP. Again it was 'a bit high' but the doc gave me a weeks worth of Amlodipine which brought my BP back to normal where it has stayed since. Beware of the side-effects, as I said they make you go loopy mad.

OK will do. As it stands I've been doing between four to five people's work at work, mainly due to two lazy staff and no other staff. Have had tension headaches and chest pains for about 8 to 9 months now, maybe longer. Management don't like people taking sick leave and I thought it would be a black mark against me if I went to see the docs. So I used my current annual leave to see the docs instead..... and my, what a bloody carry on!

Sounds like you are in a similar situation to me. I went back to work yesterday and found 3 people doing the job I did by myself. Now on part-time hours until everything is sorted. Luckily my employer is being very good about everything.
