RULES

RULES,RULES,RULES! Mods please take note and have a word, firm prices only etcetara etcetara etcetara, as Confuscious once said.

Its been noted, I can only add to what others have said, really poor poor form from both. The classifieds are for members of the community to trade, not to get the best price or gazump each other. Its definitely not in the spirit of the site.

i had no intention with what happened. i received offers over the first here and there, even got a "name your price" offer. i didnt want the items and was letting them go. but when i was offered almost double, i felt i had to salvaged the situation where a big mistake on my part turned out to be a not as big mistake. the final decision was going with a local buyer with cash in hand.

in the end, someone got something they wanted and i got rid of kit i didnt care for. that was my intention.

im going to self impose a ban on selling stuff here for a while. my regrets.

I can see where Penguinpower is coming from. It is not that nicer feeling to sell something and then realise its value was far higher, even if you were happy with what you got at the time, that inevitable feeing of stupidity/poor judgement can hurt.

Not that it is nice if it turns out it is a dealer that did the gazumping, but...

Certainly not the way this should have panned out, but I'm sure we'll all agree the initial price was way below market.

Some you win, some you lose.

Brakes were picked up, paid for and the guy bought some other stuff too.

Obviously, I didnt really KNOW what I had. Fortunately, I didnt do so badly as I first was.

Thank you all.

seen a few sales on here where people pm first and do this, even jealous types ruining someones 'bargain' by pming seller with their 'expert' opinion, seller should research first not after they posted a price, bad behaviour
