may I suggest an alternate stem and post, since control tech was a bit of a budget brand, for mass produced bikes. Though, it's a quality part.

I don't know if I'm on board with that assessment. Control Tech was closer to Syncros than to Zoom in my eyes. Zoom was the mass production brand stuff. Control Tech was starving college student meets avid mountain biker. Syncros was starving college student with a credit card.![]()
As I recall...shop prices back in the day... $30 Zoom, $60 Control Tech and $80 for Syncros. There abouts... I'm partial to Control Tech. Good USA made no nonsense stuff.![]()
