After a big frame and fork...well actually a big headtube frame and fork. 215mm ish headtube.

To take 2.1" rear with ease. Old skool cantilevers etc. NOT a touring specific frame set, so no mahoosive stays or rakes. Its for on/off road use, not touring.

Must be good quality tubing, tange prestige, nivacrom, 853.......531/525 at a push on great frame, pref fillet brazed / lugged but open to suggestions.

Yates, roberts, swallow, you know the normal suspects.....

Not worried about cosmetic condition, in fact prefer ratty so i can re finish, as long as mechanically sound!

I know its asking something, but if you dont ask!......

Let me know what you got!

Open to trades....

Bump....somebody must have something lurking they can part with!
I have this 20 inch Mt Shasta, with zoom stem, gt forks and headset/bottom bracket. Good condition with a few marks. Strong but light as it’s 7005 aluminium. £99 if you can collect?

Are you looking to do a high spec build that would replace "the bike you should be using"?

No. Im actually using, the bike i should be using so much, i want an off road focused version of it...ie no mudguards, racks etc.

Ive really seen the light over " getting my head up" and im not going back to norba geometry again..... i never really realised how uncomfortable i was, till i wasn't! Its changed my riding enjoyment so much, im going to ditch my 2 current off road bikes in favour of one " bigger" one...

If you ever sell the Yates......!😉

Oh yes......bump.

My rocky mountain with the custom leaf, scott and probably my 700c gravel thingy.

Tbh, im getting seriously onboard with @widowmaker idea of the "one bike" philosophy !

May even let "the bike I should be riding" go, as it was a great experiment, confortable, but honestly the frame could be bigger!

Will keep the pre 90 bikes i have, but the rest im pretty ambivalent about, its just not my era.....fun, but no really meaning, interest or sentiment tbh. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed building and restoring the parts on them, which for me is a big part of it as its a great " mindfulness " hobby....to coin a buzz word.

But more and more I just want to ride more in comfort, for longer, in what time i have left on and off the road. Part of the joy of retiring a bit early!
