i was all set to buy a volvo v70 t5 ex cop car a few weeks back......while i was waiting for the wife to get ready to go and view/buy it i found a nice VW passat 2.8 V6 4motion for sale down the road from me at less than half the price......the joys of internet browsing.

i can get 2 bikes in the back without taking the wheels off and thats including the san andreas too, and that is a huge bike!!!!!!!!

ideal bike transporter might be selling it soon though, bruv is upgrading his l200 animal so i may get that.

Always quite liked the idea of a debadged W8 Passat.

The 30v engines were smooth as silk, and trick for their day (VVT and variable inlet), but the 5v per cylinder thing didn't make them overly popular with engine tuners.

B5 Passats were at the top of their game, I think. The facelifted B5.5s seemed to cause people nothing but problems with reliability gremlins. Their Audi platform heritage revealed itself with oddness, though (although not as much with your 4Motion) longitudinally mounted engine, yet (mostly) FWD.
