Gold 1" ahead headsets?

Hi again- silly question No.2
Does anyone other than Chris King do a 1" headset in Gold Anno?? I want something as cheap as possible for my Frankenshite Single speeder, don't want to spend King money. Has anyone got a used one hanging about??

Think your gonna struggle to manage gold AND cheap to be honest. Most headsets that come in 1" and colours are gonna be blingy ones and chances are folks aren't gonna part with them for small change.

If I was you, I'd bung any old thing in for now and then find a cheap one that you could strip and send off to be anodised next time there's a gold batch going to Mansfield Anodisers.

I'm going to try this with a YST one I picked up on ebay for a few quid. The only problem I can think of is the bearing seats must be steel and are shrunk onto place. Will either have to remove or see if they can anodise over.

I'd try it with a cheap sealed cartridge bearing one. There's no steel seats in the cups, so it doesn't cause a problem.
