Gitane

Re:

forks are naffed and frame has little bend in so gonna sell as bits unless anyone has got some forks in that size can the steerers be replaced

might as well keep an eye out for some s/hand forks any half decent brakes [tektro's ?] i cant see any point
in going period correct as the other bits are a mish mash.
you might be able to straighten the top tube a bit with a block of wood and a lump hammer.
its up to you with what you intended for your son to have .
yeah sure its cheap and cheerful so what.i would get it built with a really good saddle.

Re:

might sound silly but where do i measure the forks from as they are for 24" wheels
also do you know what year it would have been, ive done some looking but most of the kids bikes never had q,r and only had a single crank

dunno, i only know 700c 650c and 271/4" [forks for] i recently sold a 650 wheeled fork.

ooh sorry ! i guess the fork might be worth having work done on it then ?
quite a different one here really... a boys retro racer.
i wonder what the original brakes were ?
