What's the maximum head tube length for these? I'm sure I looked it up before, but I can't remember.

From the crown to the underside of the stem is 160mm.

I'd say they'd need elastomers and give the stem some attention, every thing is there as far as I can see.

i thought the first vectors all had 1" steerers but depending on the frame they were being put on had differing diameter lower headset bearing race locations (crown diameter) and were shimmed at the top?? Thats how mine came from the factory anyway.

does a 1 1/8 headset race fit on the for properly or is it all sloppy and definately a 1"?

This morning I took the lower crown race off the steerer and low and behold it looks like a 1&1/8" every thing is covered in grease and it was hiding a step in the dia, but the rest of the steerer is 1".

I would love them to go on my Peugeot, but the head tube is 174mm, so unfortunately they're not going to fit.
