Geoffrey Butler touring frame.

Very smart :) have you sorted out who built it? Nice too see that Geoffrey Butler eventually ran out of white paint :)

Re:

Hi Shaun, I take your point GBs frames BiTD were either white, or red with a white headtube; their signature livery. I know I've mentioned before but I used to walk past their shop every day on the way to school.

This frame was, and we're as certain as we can be, built by Cliff Shrubb - the other possibility was Roberts. I'll not be working on it for a week or so as I'm building the Philbrook.

I'll post some more images of the GB once I've cleaned and polished it.

Cheers, Jon.

Hi Jon

Cliff Shrubb did build some interesting frames :). I keep a lookout for Geoff Butler track frames as back in the late 70's for some reason a raft of white track frames appeared on the scene ridden by very well known riders.....

He did. I met him a few times back in the day, tragic circumstances led to his death in 2014. I do know about the track frames...as I said, plus I knew George.

Cheers, Jon.

P.S you've still not commented on my Philbrook !
