Ok so ive just got a GB frame circa I would guess early 90's that has a Carbon fork and a 1 1/8 headset..

Anyone have any info on frame material or anything about the company??? Pics will be added later :)

Kinda worked out perfect really as I got this for next to nothing and was just in the process of thinking about building a fast touring bike, luckly this also comes with rack and mud guard mounts...

Geoffrey Butler.

Geoffrey Butler is a long established bike shop in Croydon, Surrey. Whilst I am not as old as the shop(!), I used to walk past it everyday on the way to school often drooling over the bikes and equipment on the way home.

Butler's never built their own frames - always sourcing from reputable trade builders like Holdsworth(I have a Cliff Shrubb built GB).

Comments above relate to the old days (this is a retro forum) and steel frames, but would apply in the"modern"period, say 1995 on with alu, carbon etc...these would be sourced from the trade and labelled up"Geoffrey Butler".

I have several, mainly nostalgia, but a reputable shop in the day.

Roadking.

Just seen this on another site... The frame is the same as this just with added Carbon fork...

I guessed they where not made "in house" overall weight is quite low not that ive had the scales out, im just hoping the ride quality is decent..

Thanks

Inch and one-eighth headset would indicate maybe late 90's- probably early 00's - anything earlier would have had a 1" headset.
