Lately I've been thinking about retrofitting disc brakes on my 1994 Kona but various framebuilders warned me about issues with potential internal rust and possible seat/chain stays unability to cope with the stress of disc braking.
So the new plan is now to buy a reasonably priced modern steel frameset and build it with a RS Reba SL 100mm and a choice of reliable midrange components by Shimano, Ritchey, etc, nothing fancy.
During my search, I've discovered the variety of the steel bike offering in the UK, Orange, Sanderson, On-One, Cotic and particularly the Genesis brand.
On the paper, the Altitude models have everything I like. I've read on their site the numerous good reviews that MTB magazines have done but I'd like to read opinions from previous or actual owners if there's some on RBUK. So Thanks to them or to anybody that has links to other sources of information.
Cheers
