General Q on stripping down parts for sale

Hi,

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place - seemed the most appropriate place I could find...

I'm going to strip down a bike to sell components and was wondering whether to leave the wheels whole or disassemble them and (try to) sell the rims/spokes and hubs separately?

Rims are generic Mavic MA's with Campy Mirage hubs.

Also, since the headset will be a pain in the arse to remove without proper tools, is it reasonable to price the frame/forks to include this?

Cheers!

Mik

Don't waste your time taking the wheels apart. . . noone wants s/hand spokes unless they're super special.

Strange - thought I'd posted in the Road Component for Sale section

Spokes probably a step too far - was going to "bundle" with the rims - but I suppose I see a lot of hubs for sale, and a lot of rims, and perhaps not so many whole wheels....

Probably answered my own question there and then but 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc opinions always useful!

Cheers,

Mik

Spokes are fairly specific to the hub/rim combination so of little value even 'bundled' with the rims.

Wheels are the way to go unless everything is NOS.

The other reason is wheels are a pain to post.
Not massively. Box em up, arrange courier (way cheaper than post office - I posted a crank last week at the po that cost nearly twice as much as the last set of wheels I couriered).

The only downside is someone has to be in to sign for the collection of the package.

It's the hassle of going to halfords for a box that gets me!
I can only use the post office as I'm never in all day!
