Funk Gs Decals

Having owned both a Durango and a Force GS (at the same time) the decals were very different sizes. Remember these weren’t mass produced. I know our resident Funk collector @Swede worked on some decals too
My Durango had that ‘engineered’ decal on the seat tube. .. same as the fork detail

Could you post some more photos? My Force Gs has square chainstays which make me think yours could a Force G. Not that I would put too much faith in it but according to the ‘93 catalogue the Force G was made from Columbus Altec OR tubing. That has different diameters to Easton Varilite, so it would be good to make some comparisons.

It's definatly Easton Varilite I tried to can a pic of the stamping. This stamping shows up in a few different spots on the main triangle. It never had any decals on the top tube. The bike shop it came from told me it was a factory race team members frame that was never built up. Maybe a preproduction or prototype? If memory serves right, it was purchased around 92-93 era. It also doesn't have the Funk name by the rear axle like I've seen in a lot of the pics.

Very nice! If you get bored you know where I am…😉

Based on your dates I think you’re into Force G territory, plus I think the “s” in the Gs means the stays have an S bend. IMG_1027.webp
