Full service Parts list help

Re:

Thanks for the advice, ill look into it. Well I've made a bit of a rookie mistake, I sprayed wd40 on the screws, hub etc. And the cassette to clean it for the photos. I must have washed out any remaining crease from the bearings. Servicing the hub's I'd now number one priority.
Can anyone help with the ball bearing size for the hub's?

Here's a pic with the new parts fitted.
Cheers
Ian

Nice, I'm a fan of white bar tape and have it on my '85 Raleigh Competition. I think it brings out the shine of the chrome.

The bearings in a Shimano rear hub are ¼” in diameter and each race contains 9 bearings. Front hub is 3/16″ 11 each side says the internet.

With the rear mech cable the convention is to run bare cable until you get to the cable stop like this (which I guess is to maintain the tension):

Re:

Ordered new balls!
Hope the hub's are in good condition.
I'll shorten the gear cable if I run into any problems, thanks for the photos.
Cheers
