I bought a 1995 Stumpjumper FSR for my other half for a good price from ebay, but is has been sprayed blue badly with a rattle can. I was going to get it powder coated the original grey, and either leave the Judy XC forks in their original colour or go black....

...However, I'll only do this once to this bike and I was wondering how it would look done in white with matching forks. I've seen a few white bikes on here recently and they do look good. Silver decals were original anyway so I would stick with that. The alu rear triangle which would have been silver/grey has been stripped and polished just like the FSR pro, and I like that look so will leave it polished.

Any thoughts?

if you want to keep it period resto then it has to be grey. But seeing as though you are keeping the polished rear end i'd go white - looks clean and will go great with silver decals

also - why dont you ask the missus what colour she wants?

mm, to be honest although she hasn't actually ridden it yet (8.5 months pregnant), I think it will be too big for her, so it will either become one of my "collection" or I'll sell it on.
