Daft question - are you sure it's Titanium?

All the M-Trax Titaniums I've seen have a model name like Ti-1000 or Ti-2000. This looks to be just badged as a "500" - which was the naming used for the full steel frames.

The old one I had was badged the same. I remember the duo-tech bit on the downtube and the cro-mo composite file.

if its a full steel frame its freakin light for a raliegh that doesnt use those nice branded tubesets.

I've got a Ti-1000. I was gobsmacked when it arrived and I unwrapped it and picked it up. It's lighter than one of my road frames.

crap sorry yes this is still available.
for some reason retrobike keeps logging me out so i'm not getting emails regarding posts made in this thread.

i'll PM u just to make sure you got the reply.

My Brother owned that model Raleigh years ago - I can vouch that it is Titanium - well the three main tubes are but the rest is cro-mo. From what I remember it was a nice ride and weighed 27.5 lbs new. That spec is almost completely original (including the titanium handlebar, i think). The only thing that it isn't original is the saddle.

Oh yeah and was about £500 new in the early/mid 90s
