Mine from new in 1994-ish built up once but wheel had done some gazzillion miles since.

No longer required.

Spoke pull on the eyeletts and thats about it - good overall condition. Bearings as smooth as the day they were fitted.

Is it the version with the shorter flage on the disc side?
They were for the disc adapter arm. It would act like an extra dropout, hence the requirement for the shorter flange and little spacer in its place.

Yes, but you can still use it as normal, it requires no adaptor to run as an ordinary hub.
