FS: Andy McNeil 1950s Vintage Frame, Oscar Egg, Glasgow

7hz

Retro Newbie
I have an Andy McNeil 1950's (possibly 1957?) frame that I'd like to pass on to someone who can give it the attention it deserves.

It is a complete bike at the moment, but I guess the frame is the most interesting bit. Unfortunately, the forks have been replaced at some point.

53cm down tube, 57cm top tube.

Wheels are 650 I believe, seems the frame was designed for this size, but I am guessing the wheels have been replaced, as has most of the rest of the stuff on the bike, with the exception of perhaps the cranks (Stronglish) and the stem.

The frame is roughly painted at the moment, with some chips and light surface rust, but it is intact and would restore very well I think. There are two very light dents in the middle of the top tube, they are very shallow (maybe 1mm) and gradual and haven't affected the integrity of the tube or frame.

It is currently set up as a 5 speed, but the rear derailleur is a 1970's one and is not the correct type for the frame.

I put a new chain on the bike a few months ago, and took it out. I love the feel of the frame, but it is too small for me ( I am 6 foot) so it doesn't make sense for me to keep it.

Looking for £50. PM Me!
