Frog vs Islabikes for kids

I think they run a simi!ar ideal to islabikes. Try them out or in reality if you let the kids try them, it'll be the colour that matters.

They where new on the block when I got the is as a while back. So should have been tweak and refined by now.

Re:

Islabikes don't do a comparable road bike just the same but with flat bars the being 20L for the 6+ 20" wheels, I have of them I should really sell.

The company was founded in 2013.

This is something i disagree with. Company works hard to secure a spot in a market and when theyre doing well and have the reputation and history, another company opens up proffering the same type of bikes for very little less.
Theyre working on islabikes reputation. Frog is heavily sponsored. So you could say a bit like boardman bikes :?

To me that just says- GIVE US YOUR MONEY. Thanks. BYE

Why, they are making nice little bikes, designed properly for kids.

Surely having an option is a good thing.

I don't have a problem with Frog as long as they keep to a similar standard as Islabikes - given that their priced are similar but since they operate through LBS's they are addressing a slightly different market.

Competition is generally a good thing.

It is . Nobody likes a monopoly ,except maybe waddingtons :?

But its more than just release a bunch of bikes at very high prices. You need years of reputation built up .
So you p[op off with the wee one in tow and pick up your expensive bike. And the frame snapps as its not really been tested over any length of time or the components arent as well made as the ones isla have chosen.
So kids disappointed and youre constantly taking your overpriced lump of cheese back and forth.

I could release a kids bike tomorrow for £1000 and it would be rubbish but if i make it attractive enough people especially small children will overlook these flaws.
We go bankrupt and a lot of people are left holding worthless junk.

One thing to keep very much in mind :? we all are experienced cyclists, we are mostly home mechanics who know a thing or two and are the best judge. Your average parent is not.

Aged 25 i picked the first bike my parents bought me based on it being red

Re:

And exactly how are they supposed to build up a reputation?

Once upon a time every company had only been trading for a couple of years....

Someone had better ring these folks up and tell them to stop making their products...some bloke on the Internet says they are doing it wrong.

Frogs are okAy, but Isla Rowntree is behind Isla bikes and that was persuasive for us.

They don't cost much more, and probably easier to sell on once you are done with it
