friday nite is motorbike night again

That reminds me of freewheeling down the mountains in Transylvania with AC/DC blasting out in my Beetle back in the 80s.

We realised we needed some way of informing the villagers who were otherwise sitting in the road, basically we were a silent fifty mile per hour sledge.

:)

my mate revved his buell up at the lights today on the way to another ride...my ears hurt from the vibration ...it did feel good too...

i wouldnt decsribe having freezing cold winds blast at you at 65 mph as fun thou...frikkin cold in the shade today ...

Just don't see how riding an under-powered, over-dressed 'cruiser' can be a rewarding ride.
Mmmm...said I wouldn't have one again but I think I want a bike again 8)

Most fun I have these days is had under thirty.

Low powered laid back bike fits the bill.

If I want to go fast I have the wife and kids to remind me why I don't really want to.

:)

65 is enough for me...a bit more welly would be nice but im happy with just cruising along at a nice pace...besides ..its very hard to text and ride round corners over 50 anyway,,

You have plenty of time when you are sitting in a field waiting for the ambulance.

I am going under 30 perhaps 2/3rds of the time.

If you knew my roads you would appreciate why.

:)

i should mention 65 scares me to death so i very rarely go over 50...most of the roads near me are death traps so i stick to just above 30 ish 90 per cent of the time..i always welcome a fellow rider even if i am slow as frikk and ride to nearby coffee shops ...oh we have a road called the cale straight..its an old roman road that for nearly 7 miles is dead straight...it still gets a lot of accidents though.id love to ride round bonnie scotland one day ..i think its lovely up there ..

Gibble I am happy to hear that, I have spent a couple of days inspecting trails around the Highlands and noted the number of idiots out in the first warm weather riding like nutters.

It is always like this at this time of year, every week the news is filled with reports of biker death. Sickening.

The whole macho thing about riding everywhere at 100 needs to be put into the correct context.

Bikers like that are boring.

They are brainless (literally) and have nothing to contribute.

I can go literally hundreds of miles without time on a main road, it is all good, I just don't need to become a statistic.

:)

not me...i like the ride not how fast i can go...im a road safety officer so i hear off all the road deaths and stuff so im kind of paranoid when i go out ..i tend to be very carefull..
