It is a great decorative piece - to be viewed whilst sampling VB of course. I am not sure if my wife you agree to putting it in pride of place on the mantlepiece though!

Richard

we don't have/need mantlepieces/fireplaces here either ha ha , its nearly 11pm here and i am feeling sweaty/sticky now (our summer of course)

Time for a beer then. I am in a freezing office with a draughty window - shirt, jumper and coat on and snow is expected with some high winds and ice later.

Swap?

Richard

It is lovely now - provided you like the cold, rain, sleet, wind, etc etc I suspect someone must like it.

I am guesing the swap is not a goer then - BOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAIL WAIL ........

Back to work for me!!!

Richard

My experience with Tipo hubs is (oddly) the opposite. A new chain was jumping on a couple of sprockets on my old Sachs LY 7 speed freewheel, so I bought a cheapy Sturmey/SunRace to replace it. The SunRace spun on all the way without stripping any thread, but was way too loose under load. So I ended up cracking open the Sachs, filing off some locating tabs on the four larger sprockets and putting them back on the 'wrong' way round and re-using it. Job was very much a good 'un.

I would have thought that Regina ^ would be perfect for an old Campag hub.
