I've just had a very interesting read-up on UK employment law..... Learned things I didn't previously know and I think a quick call to a specialist on Monday morning, just to see my standing..

Don't take it lying down, you may be out and thankfully so by the sounds of it, but this twunt can't be allowed to think he can do what he likes to employees.

fake a solicitors letter, mention the small claims court, if no joy, declare the guy bankrupt!

Never fake a solicitors letter, if he acts against it it could put you in a very awkward position, just send one yourself. You can make it official looking without saying you are a solicitor, or just pay for a real one if you have a case.

If you write one good enough, he'll probably think you've had legal advice.

And you don't need solicitors for the small claims court - it's one of the things that small claims courts are supposed to bypass the need for, so may look something of a faux pas to anybody really in the legal profession.

Anyhoo, you have worked there for a while and have a contract I suppose, in which case you are fully protected against such behaviour.
