free stuff when you least expect it

the other day i posted a request for where to get a new pivot bolt for my san andreas.....it then occured to me it was the bushes and not the pivot that was the problem so i went to the homepage of mountaincycle to see what they were charging for a new set.....hmm 15 dollers...well that wasnt too bad so i ordered some....then postage on this very light item came to 20 dollers.......frikk ...not so cheap i thought .....so i sold my left lung and waited for it to arrive.well this morning it showed up ...i was right it felt like an empty box.this just made the whole thing worse....how in a way can you charge 20 dollers for something that weighs the same as a handful of nipples(not the pink pretty ones)...it did not cheer me up at all



until i opened the box




woooooohhooooooooooo.....now me happy......





as it turns out ive just got a new headset as i intend to get the bike sprayed ect and was worried about the stickers on the bike as they are a bit hard to get ....at least thats what i thought until now



so a big thank you to mountaincycle usa ...cheers fellas

the headset is at home waiting...the speed of the delivery time caught me by suprise so i have some cables to get and a pinch bolt thingy for the mavic rear mech and then im sorted.

it does and they arnt old either they were sent to me last year by a fellow rber who had some surplase...this is why i was loathe to respray the bike ..its also got a ten year centenary sticker on the subframe i really like and dont want to lose.however getting these new ones makes it harder not to do what i should have done ages ago...


or i could just bung them on my hack bike to have a laugh....(just kidding...i stopped the madness last year when the green tyres went)

What gibbleking fails to point out is that I knicked the box off him this morning and ran off and opened it I love christmas

He has a lovely headset and some cool paint coming.....he is a lucky boy

also if you leave the sticker on there I may be able to get it off in a restickable condition for you....done it before
