Many thanks Cellleader for you comment. I managed to get a Cinelli stem with the right length, typically just after this. It is amazing what friends find in the bottom of the workbox and there one was.
I think the one in the photo is a 25mm which I already have (and managed to scratch my bars trying to get to fit.......) but thanks anyway.
