Free internet connection?

I need free internet connection at work....without work knowing. Also I need a laptop but lets sort that one out later.
My shop is near a hotel or two....whats the chance of tapping in?

if your next door to the hotel you might be lucky as long as there network is un-secure but they never are :cry:

Slim to none, I'm afraid. If they are running an unsecure network, be very careful, there could be someone watching!

If they are using WEP encryption, it's quite easy to get their passwords with a packet sniffer like Kismet, but on your head be it if you get caught.

Really, I'd go with a GPRS dongle, in fact, PM for you.

It can be done with some online software.

I have to be honest though you would need an IP scrambler. which can also be downloaded.

Whatever you do, BE CAREFUL as its a big offence now.

How about pop to the hotel and ask them for the password? Have a drink in the bar or something.

Thanks chaps...I didn't know about dongles....not free, but thats the way forward. I need internet access at work without a telephone line.

sign up to a mobile boadband deal an you will get a free laptop check the 3g/hdpsa coverage for each network where you are though!!!!

to use goto mypc he would need to connect through a current connection i.e the works connection so not an option really
