I feel dirty saying this but.....I think i like that

Ooooh now there's a dilemma. It's growing on me too. A bit like a fungal infection.

Do I do a broom on it or build it properly? Have lots of bits of coloured cable etc I've been saving for frank......

9sp deore group in black so needs brightening up doesn't it? Sheldon says 8 and 9 cassette swap is fine.

Re:

i like the look of the bars

as I'm becoming more brittle i'm realising that my wrists don't really agree with straight 'n' flat......

Cables are outers only at present. I want to get the right mix of leftovers before I cut them for this. I do have some weird twirly frame protector thingies I got for Christmas that will be deployed to protect such a valuable piece of RB history.

Or should I just build it properly and tone it down? After all, there's only room for one broom.

Re:

Just back from the first ride. The gearing is bonkers! Riding position is surprisingly comfortable. The sweep on the bars is the way to go. I toned it down and made it coordinate as much as possible with the available bits. Cables from the schils, other blue was the Marin.

Very planted at the front. Went with a lad of 9 speed bits. The cassette has a little rock/movement on the hub. Are there thin shims?
