Frame Welding

Hi

I have just found out that my Klein Rascal has cracked it's seat tube and was wondering if anybody knows of a place that I can get this welded? It had already been welded once before on the seat tube before I bought it so I am hoping that it can be repaired

I would think any good engineer/sheet metal place would be a good bet, maybe somewhere that builds alloy boats as they are used to making their welds neat and tidy

possibly the reason its cracked now is that it's been welded prior - when you weld alloy, especially heat treated alloy it weakens the area adjacent the repair due to the heat involved

in saying that nothings impossible
