Frame postage cost from USA

Can anyone tell me what a typical cost is for shipping a frame via USPS from the USA to Britain?

I had an Explosif frame sent over a couple of years ago but can't find any documentation relating to it now. Should keep records of this stuff...

I have had one sent to the UK this year and it cost $70, around £35.
I have had two qoutes for other frames and they both were $70 - $80.

$60-70 via USPS international priority but if the seller insists on UPS or FedEx it will be more expensive. or if he insists on being paid for labor and material... sort the shipping costs out before the purchase to avoid nasty surprises...

If you purchase a used frame from the states do you have to pay import duty/tax?I've bought clothing from US and you don't pay anything extra.

I know with mine I didnt, but then the other week I got charged £6 VAT and £8 royal mail handling fee for a pair of S Works cranks :evil:

cant work it out, but with my frames, no. I suppose it depends on what its worth.

I just hope I don't get stung for import duty/VAT again.....

import duty is dependant on who checks it, i got told i might not get charged on a frame as it was old and not expensive. but you never know.
