Hi Newbie here, I was wondering if anyone cold help with identifying this frame? It was described as a Raleigh Gran Sport and it certainly has the right lugs cable guides etc but the colour and chrome back stays don't match any Gran Sport information I can find. The frame number isn't clear either. Any help gratefully received

That serial number has definitely been messed with. Combination of dremel and center punch.
I still have a Gran Sport c. '79 frame sitting somewhere; I remember it pretty much had a Campagnolo Gran Sport group on it because I took it in trade for those parts; otherwise it was painted (over chrome?) & badged as a Specialized for whatever reason. I will see if I can dig some old photos from whom I got it from as I know I never photo'd it.
