Frame - Establishing Age

Thanks, Jim. Nothing resembling a date was found but the underside of the rear derailleur has "24" over "28" and "dents" over "teeth" stamped alongside. The cassette pictured above has the number "85" stamped on it. "Hamster" located more recent images of the same model with a "Livigno" decal on the top tube instead of "Selvino" - both areas being associated with cycling in Northern Italy. It certainly isn't a bike I'd like to tackle a mountain with. I'm beginning to think Bianchi marketed this model under various names during the 50's to 80's period, with parts manufactured at different times during that period ... 60's frame. 80's cassette, etc., etc..

The freewheel is certainly 1980s as it's got slot-on sprockets from when Regina adopted the more popular (certainly from a mechanic's point of view) Atom methods for both sprocket mounting and body removal. Prior to then the only stampings I remember on Regina freewheels were letters indicating the mounting thread - which we would roundly ignore as unmarked Italian thread and 'FI' (English thread) items were pretty much interchangeable.
