Just checked it out...didn't like....in the words of Embrace - Come back to what you know
Is it some kind of watered down version of Retrobike, but for people who ride mainly modern bikes and cant face the fact that they're shite?

I tried a well known RB hater and the password 'I hate retrobike' and I got in!!! :shock:

Strange place though, lots of marching going on. Very militaristic. Full of NOS and every bike had unridden white Porcupines....

do think we all include a bit of that in our builds
some do a cat spec build some like me do a lust/cost build
bit like classic motorcycles (my other great waste of time and money)
do a bay search for NOS lc yam bits ,its scary the lengths folk go to

but like most this is a broad church and theres room for anoraks too
united in the common bond of old bicycles

Agree fully with the broad church approach, diversity of thought is what we thrive on..
Aghhh the olde classic motorcycles trap :twisted: I've fallen into that on too - great fun, great expense :shock: But I follow the same principles there - build for function and fun, not catalogue, period correctness.

First thing most of us did when we got new bikes (or motorbikes) 20/30/40 years ago was strip off standard parts and replace with bolt-on aftermarket goodies from the tuning/fashion houses Don't see much point in having to reverse that habit now. Bet you had spannies on that LC Mikee :twisted:

Not even close, especially the NOS part. Except the horde of Porc's, those sell for too much to ride.

I don't like the members only forum idea, and for that I won't try to join (see avatar) but having said that...I watched MTBR-VRC go astray over the last few years so I understand why Rumpfy and the others went that route. I would rather they have an open forum and take the liberty to moderate it into what they want, but you know what they say...different strokes for different folks...
