just bought the frame from cjax and need to think of bits to put on it. have wheels(purple Pulstar hub's) lots of other purple bits as well.
but forks? i have a set of RS Mag21's. use them or go rigid?

Forks

A Zaskar rigid is a waste IMHO, nice set of Marzocchi or Pace 80mm forks is the way to go, I have a set of Rond Quake Air on mine, nice and stiff short travel and allows the Zas' to achieve its speed potential up and down!

No way! No Zokes, Pace, etc. on GT!

GTs should only have either GT CrMo fork or Rock Shox suspension fork.
Since yours is 1993, then Mag 21s are the way to go if you want to have suspension.

I'm planning to build my upcoming Xizang with a black GT Bologna rigid CrMo fork...

Thats what I was going to say... You think GT you think Rock shox !!! :D

Not in my house you don't!

My Zaskar LE was built up with a USE fork. It looked nuts, weighed nothing and went like stink.

Never did like RS stuff though (mumble, mumble!)

Yep, I'm with him on this one... the first thing I was thinking when I read the topic title. RS MAG-20/21 or one of those black GT 3D forks. Nuttin' else on a GT :-)
