In March 2024 I tried to get out of my addiction to old MTBs, and I shouldn't have looked at Leboncoin: I saw a Trek not far from work, for 10€ o_O

beautiful fluorescent paint, I resist for 4 days, and then I give in, I contact the seller and the next day I leave with the bike 😍

but the other one is faded

No matter, I'm under the spell of my first Trek !
The bottom bracket has play, the chain is dead, the crankset and cassette look good, the brake pads too, the saddle is dead, the saddle clamp too, the wheels are not bent and the inner tubes are not punctured...

After some small works it already looks better :

It's so nice that I want to ride, ride and ride again

I am always amazed at the joy these old bikes can bring 🥹😍

It was so nice that it became my daily work horse bike

but still it was heavy, it wasn't a problem when riding, but to take it up to my girl friend's house on the second floor without an elevator it was less fun, so I put it back in its original configuration, with a light front rack for my things, because it continues to take me to work when the weather is nice
