Forgive me for I have sinned...

Yesterday in an idle moment I looked at Auction Watch and spied a sweet looking IF frame in my size, going for not much at the time and only an hour or so for the auction to run. With precious little thought I loaded the sniper and rode home, planning the build if I won (yep, counting chickens etc).

Thankfully I was outbid although it was a close run thing. But why the sin? Well although the disc mount (heresy, obviously) is something to raise eyebrows, it was also a 29er frame - clown wheels, what was I thinking  ?

I have spent most of today bewildered and confused - was this some sort of subconscious cry for help? A second midlife crisis? Was I destined for a red sports car and a lithe lovely far too young for me? Would I be pierced and branded by month end? Had I lost it? Did I ever have it in the first place?

So what should be my penance? I throw myself, prostrate, at your mercy.

.

Ah the eternal longing for a big(wheeled)one. Get the birch mother, no he won't like it(well he might) but it will do him good. 50 lashes should do the trick

I'm afraid there is no justification for the 29er disc.

Just a good job it wasn't in the Devils metal Aluminuniminium or whatever it's called,or you would burn in hell for all eternity.

Also remember, cheap and crap good, expensive and crap bad!

Al,ahead of popular culture by about 3 feet.

Erm...I think I would love a disc only IF 29er.....whats happening here Ed is that you're slowly turning cool.
second that, a 29er would suit you fine, the discs aren't that bad either
You can have another go on the Bigwheel in September :D

I think my 29er is the only bike I own that actually fits me right.
After that, the other arguments about wheel size etc. don't matter much.
