Selling this beauty, £650... pick up in london, but i could sort out postage...
Beautifully restored viking 'severn valley' pro racing frame from 1957. It was Viking's top spec team racing bike throughout the late 50's and early 60's. Won the Tour of Britain 4 times for the Viking team during its reign.
Reynolds 531 tubing and Nervex lugs.
It's been lovingly restored with super tough PC with velvet lacquer, original racing team decals, and hand painted lug lining. It's been built up as a lightweight single-speed with more modern shimano components. Cable guide braze ons still there if someone wanted to rebuild with gears.
Since it's restoration and rebuild it has been ridden only and handful of times last summer and is in near perfect condition. No scratches, no rust, fresh tyres, brand new saddle and cables, and all components cleaned and polished by hand.
Frame: 1957 Viking Severn Valley - 58cm / 23" ctc
Steel: Reynolds 531 - lightweight
Chainset: Shimano 105 'Golden Arrow' 52t - high polished
Bottom Bracket: New Shimano UN26
Freewheel: Shimano 17t - the silent type
Brakes: Shimano 105 - side pull callipers
Wheels: Modern 27" Alloy - 36 spoke front and back - very little use, run true
Handlebars/Stem/Seatpost: Kalloy
Tyres: Continental Gator Hardshell - fast rolling / high puncture resistance
Saddle: Charge Spoon leather
