Aquired this over the holidays but having trouble identifing. Steel lugged frame, chrome forks and rear - the non drive stay is painted over.
no tube sticker but pretty light, was fitted with campagnolo chorus headset and BB so not too low but I cannot find any fondriest catalogues.
The closest match I can find is the Mega Chrome but havn't found one in this colour scheme. Any ideas??

Not a Megachrome... That was TIG with an oval downtube.

It's a columbus Gara tubeset and was specced with either Campag Mirage or the one below it which I've forgot the name of....

Is a 95/6 model, for sure. Sold loads of them when I was working in a bike store west of Copenhagen.

Can't remember the model name but I think it was just known as a "Gara".

FWIW Fondriest sub-contracted almost all production - your frame was probably built by the likes of Viner.
