Where did you find the bars from?
 
Looking good and that's some polishing going on there, but having seen the frame (I assume it's the one I was looking at with Dr S when he was pulling packaging of it at BDWII), it does have a nice gloss sheen that'll match the polishing well.

:) yes indeed the very same frame :) , and as you say the frame does have that nice glossy finish , so the shiny'ness of the components match in very well imho, :)
 
what sorts of mechs come apart like that??
i always assumed they were un servicable

good work on the polishing.

The levers look a bit short for the vintage. What was the first year for the shorter levers?
