Yeah very happy with the condition not far off your old Eldridge!...yeah the stem difference has been pointed out to me already I wasn't sure as I knew it was a Marin one but not sure of the year...my fear is that if I respray then I will struggle to match the bars and the forks, which whilst in good paint order will no doubt have faded...

however, if you are saying it looks fresh then, you will be fine i reckon. zolatone and some other fishes, such as nickel plating invites rust frackles more than others, so, worth stripping out and re-lube as a precaution, that's all.
anything made of metal is worth inspecting the less seen stuff too, ask any vauxhall cavalier owner.

The OEM rims are Araya rm400s on these - they are supposed to have a concave side wall - so they may not be that bad - also given the condition of the bike I'b be surprised if they are shot - post a close up pic of one on here.
If they are then these rm14s that Bart has for sale would be a good replacement - I'd stick with silver- I have both rm14s and rm400s and they are very similar.
