Favourite skewers

I think that any of the high end (XT and XTR) Shimano stuff beats everything else for sheer functionality. They may not look as trick but they just do the job well.

Salsa, look good, work good, quite comfy

had a pair of Machine Tech skewers once, looked mental, really overmachined, however they were a nightmare to tighten and they stuck out of the axle a long way so got scratched easily.

I've got Hope and PMP, and the seconds are better (longer lever)

Nashbar steel bolt-ons for me. 68 grams, no stretch in the 4130 shaft, and antitheft. They are mechanicaly more efficient, and I carry the tool in my camel anyway.

Oh yeah, they're CHEAP!
